Ana Tanasescu is an Associate Professor in theDepartment of Cybernetics, Economic Informatics, Finance and Accounting,Faculty of Economic Sciences, Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti.

She was Vice-dean of the Economic SciencesFaculty between 2016 and 2020.

She has graduated the Faculty of EconomicSciences from the Petroleum –Gas University of Ploiesti. She has received her PhD in the Cybernetics and Economic Statisticsdomain from Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest in 2009.

She teaches intelligent systems in economy, decisionsupport systems, business administration intelligent systems, semantic web, informationsystems design and databases to graduate and postgraduate students.

She is working in the following areas:artificial intelligence, expert systems, decision support systems, database andontology-based systems.

She is author and co-author of 6 books and 41articles in the interest fields.
