July 3rd 2019, we are delighted and proud that, 2 Nobel Prize Laureates have been elected as 2019 IETI Laureate Distinguished Fellows (LDFIETI) for their distinguished work.
The 2 Nobel Prize Laureates are:
Prof. Dr. Brian Josephson, Cambridge University, UK (Nobel Prize in Physics 1973)
Prize motivation: "for his theoretical predictions of the properties of a supercurrent through a tunnel barrier, in particular those phenomena which are generally known as the Josephson effects"

Prof. Dr. Joachim Frank, Columbia University, USA (Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2017)
Prize motivation: "for developing cryo-electron microscopy for the high-resolution structure determination of biomolecules in solution"

And LDFIETI is the highest honor of IETI, will be awarded to Nobel Laureate. Besides, as we know, Nobel Prize the highest honor for scientists, that means, IETI now have 2 world leading experts, IETI is stronger than before.
